    Overview / Descripción

    Under moderate supervision, assist with developing fully researched processes and procedures for all Fresh Creative Foods products and all phases of product development projects for house accounts. Oversees and ensures adherence to food safety and internal quality standards through documentation control and verification.

    Responsibilities / Responsabilidades

    • Maintains customer/vendor portal programs;
    • Verifies and maintains necessary internal and external documentation and records;
    • Reports documentation issues to production and QA management and follows up on needed corrections;
    • Responsible for document control for all Food Safety and Quality forms;
    • Responsible for maintaining department reports and providing assistance to the QA department;
    • Supply customer requests for Food Safety Documentation (Audit Reports, Certificates, Letters of Guarantee, etc.);
    • Performs necessary verification tasks (Scale calibration, thermometer calibration, label verifications, etc.);
    • Reviews vendor ingredient specifications for FSMA and SQF compliance;
    • Ensures all ingredients are properly ranked and safe for use in production;
    • Maintains and monitors all new ingredient specifications;
    • Inputs vendor ingredient specifications into database (B1 [Set Up Forms] & Genesis);
    • Monitors all raw ingredients to ensure vendor is providing per specifications;
    • Assists in finished product labeling per FDA and USDA standards;
    • Provides assistance of projects as needed and other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications / Calificaciones

    • Associates Degree in Food Science or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
    • A minimum of 2 years Food Science or Food Manufacturing experience is preferred.
    • Requires knowledge food and safety regulations of QC systems.
    • Must be HACCP and FSMA Certified or able to obtain certification.
    • Advanced knowledge in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related MS Office Programs and experience with B1 highly desirable.
    • Ability to grasp information necessary to perform outlined tasks.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Ability to work well with others.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Travel up to 5% of the time.
